Aloha. Welcome to the Hawaiian Mediation Series. Let’s get started: Please find a comfortable seated position. Focus on your breath, breathe in, breathe out. Breathe in, breathe out. As you continue your calming breath, feel your body relax into your seated position.
In Ancient Hawaii, there were three types of Mana. The Divine Mana was everlasting. The Personal Mana that goes away if it is not properly taken care of. And places had Mana that was long-lasting. The Kahunas were responsible for renewing the Mana of Places.
In this meditaion, we will focus Personal and Divine Mana.
Bring your awareness to your heart center. While your physical heart is to your left, your heart center is directly in the middle of your chest. Through your nose, breathe in, breathe out. Feel your Mana coming in through the top of your heart center, and leaving through the bottom. Continue to be aware of your Mana as it continues down towards your feet and loops out, around your entire body. It should feel as though it is several feet from your physical body.
As it moves away from your physical body, your Mana will begin to move up and then begin to loop in towards the top of your head. The loop begins again when your Mana reaches the top of your heart center.
Your Mana flows along a torus shaped field that begins and ends with your heart center. Basically think of a very large doughnut, that surrounds your physical body, but that only touches in the very middle. This touchpoint is where your heart center is located.
Continue to bring your awareness to your Personal Mana.
Your Personal Mana will continue to loop along this torus shaped field. It is important to take care of your personal Mana as it can be depleted. When you are feeling exhausted, angry, or any type of negative issue that impacts your body, when you follow your Mana — you can feel it close to your body. This is a good indication that your Mana needs to be replenished. Meditation is one of the many ways that you can restore your Personal Mana.
Shift your awareness to your breathing. Through your nose, breathe in, breathe out. We are going to switch gears to focus on Divine Mana. This is the Divine or Source Energy that connects everything, in the Universe. This includes the seen and the unseen.
A good way to bring your awareness to Divine Mana is to picture a beautiful golden energy that is everywhere and passes through all physical objects, from the densest black hole to the coffee cup sitting on your desk. As you are mindful of this beautiful Divine Mana, an attitude of gratitude is an essential element of feeling a deeper connection to the flow of energy. You can choose to say mahalo or thank you to yourself or aloud. Chose what works best for you.
Continue to focus your awareness on this beautiful golden Divine Mana. Feel the energy as it braids into golden strands that connect all things seen and unseen. Picture the Divine Mana as it travels throughout the Earth giving our home the majestic beauty and peace that she deserves.
Bring your awareness to the space that you are currently occupying. Feel the Divine Mana as it flows around your physical body. Send thanks to this beautiful golden Divine Mana as it is in a constant state of motion that breathes life into our Universe.
Without losing the feeling of being surrounded by Divine Mana, bring your awareness back to the flow of your Personal Mana. Feel the Divine Mana that is moving just above your head. Aloud or to yourself, say mahalo, or thank you, Divine Mana, for the connection that I share with all things seen and unseen in the Universe. As you picture the Divine Mana, feel it merge with your Personal Mana’s flow into your heart center and down toward your feet. Continue to be thankful for the Divine Mana flowing with your Personal Mana as they loop out, around your entire body. It should feel as though they are several feet from your physical body.
As the torus shaped field moves away from your physical body, the Divine Mana flowing with your Mana will begin to move up and then begin to loop in toward the top of your head. The loop begins again when the Divine Mana flowing with your Mana reach the top of your heart center.
Continue to be thankful and feel the Divine Mana and your Mana as they are continuing along this torus field. Remember that the Divine Mana is always present and available to you when you feel your Personal Mana is in need of being restored.
Began to bring your focus back to your breathing. Breathe in, breathe out. Breathe in, breathe out. Slowly bring movement back to your body. Bring your body into a gentle stretch and feel the feeling of being connected to the all. Focus on your Personal Mana, that has been replenished, and carry this with you, as you continue on your path. Mahalo.
